Mike and Ellen in my opinion are the best realtors in Central Virginia. I originally used a realtor who I will not name but he basically did nothing, or worse than nothing - he assured me of the size of the property and later admitted he didn't know where the markings were. Mike bought a farm for me and still is involved in working out to do. He sold a house for me and totally solved some problems like mold. I recommend the Butters team without reservation. We had requested information about property in the Culpeper, VA area on-line. Mike Butters called us and made himself available to us when we came from California to look for a new home. When we arrived in Culpeper in Jan 09 Ellen was at her office waiting with many houses for us to see.
Whatever our expectation were, Ellen more that met them. She was very personable and accommodating. We felt as if we had known her before we even met her. She is someone I would like to remain friends with.
We found several properties that would work for us so but weren't yet sure which one we would choose. We went home to California to think about it and for finalize things there.
We returned in March and we found and submitted an offer on our new home. Again, Ellen was there to support and help in every way possible. We returned back to California to pack up and move to Virginia.
When we got back to Virginia we found out that Ellen had badly broken her leg a Mike would be taking over our account. Mike was equally as accommodating as Ellen. We couldn't have been in better hands.
We had a issue with our banking transferring the funds needed to close our escrow on time and Mike was instrumental in getting that accomplished. I would recommed Mike & Ellen to anyone who was looking for a honest, reliable realtor.
